Tacilevu, Nabua, Tukavesi, boat to Rabi

Tacilevu church

This is the church building in Tacilevu. On the left are the restrooms outdoors. They usually have about 10 members attend.

We took the Sisters out to a village where some of the members live. They met with a lady that they had been teaching. It was Saturday afternoon. On the way there we saw this family in the river. They were having a ball.
Last week was transfers so Monday and Tuesday we took missionaries twice to Labasa and went to Nabua and then to the end of the island to drop off two missionaries that work on the island of Rabi.  These next few pictures are from the Nabua flat that was closed down for a month or two. The flat is about 100' from the ocean. It is beautiful. The flat had been left empty for a few days and the mice, rats, and bugs overtook it. We all gathered all the stuff that could be saved and then filled 2 garbage bags with stuff that couldn't be saved. We took it down by the ocean and lit the bags on fire. You'll see this in the next couple of
pictures.

Tukavesi photos

This is a beautiful little girl we met in our first outing with the missionaries after we arrived in Savusavu. She just stared at Sister Keck. I don't think she had seen too many white people before.

They are building a church out there. It is taking longer than anticipated.

Elders off to Rabi

On Tuesday of transfers, Sister Keck and I dropped a new Elder off in Tukavesi and picked up the Elder on the left and took he and his new companion to the end of the island so they could catch a boat to Rabi. They look pretty happy, but I think the new Elder on the left was a little nervous. They people speak Kirabus on the island which means these Elders called to speak Fijian have to learn another language.
