To Savasavu with Gerkins
This is our plane to Labasa. We will drive to Savusavu. It was an hour late! We were only allowed 33 lbs. in our bags and 17 lbs for carryons and they weighed our backpacks too. My backpack was probably 30 lbs when we came from Utah! Ha! Gerkins let us borrow their suitcases and checked them for us so we could get everything here.
We were laughing about these crates of baby chickens in the airport.
Then we got on the flight and the chicks had joined us!
Getting off the plane.
The sister missionaries and zone leaders were here to greet us and deliver our truck. Sister Chand and Sister Schade are awesome!

This is a centipede that we found when we first got to Savusavu. It was in the Sisters flat. They have seen 2 more in their flat and we had one yesterday on our patio. I had just sprayed and he came out and died! We were told that these guys bite is terrible. It won't kill you, but causes a lot of grief! This is the Copra Shed Restaurant. Right on the marina.
Driving to Savusavu from Labasa airport. It is an hour and half drive.
Second day in Savusavu we stopped for a few minutes at the beach. Sister Keck got in the water. She said the water was as warm as a bathtub. It may be because the tide was out. You can walk a long way out to the reef. I'm sure the water heats up because it's so shallow. You can see the breaks or waves behind Sister Keck.
