Interesting things in Fiji
These are some of the pretty shells I have found so far.

Dog own the island! They are everywhere! Fijians don’t believe in spading or neutering obviously! They lay in the roads, and on the sidewalks and walk down the middle of the road!
Fijian bills! Very colorful and pretty! They also use many coins! Dan is always trying to get rid of his change! Ha!

It rains here hard! This is our front yard after one storm.
This is taken from inside our house.
It rains hard here! We had just come out of the store with no umbrellas!!

This was in the shower a couple days ago. It was dying when we noticed it there. We had recently sprayed with Permethrin. (Bug killer in Fiji)
Mahana’s ten cows! ( Johnny Lingo)
This centipede was outside on the patio when we were cleaning.
This was the day I saw the eel or sea snake! Wish I had a picture of it. It was grey and about 2 feet long. The water was super warm right there.
Crabs with their shells!

This is the size plane that you fly on to come here. There is no cockpit door!
This was our Indian neighbors having a party on Friday night. Not sure if they were dancing, but they sounded like they were having a good time!!
Last week in the evening we listened to this for about an hour while we sat in our living room.
The above pictures are from the market in town. We buy our bananas here all the time, We also bought pineapple, sweet potatoes and long beans. (They are just like our beans but about 2 feet long) They are good. Not sure what the stuff on the ground is. Thank you Hyde’s for taking these photos!
This my tuna dinner from the Copra Shed. It is a fancier restaurant here in Savusavu.
There are many of these birds here. We have several that live in our yard. I think we may have one with a nest in the Eve as we have heard him chirping over our head. Their chirp is very different from Birds in Idaho.

We watched a man catch one of these cod fish off the pier. He had several lines in the water. They use a large spool with fishing line on it with a hook and bait. No fishing pole!
Small lobster on the sand. The tide was out and we found some cool creatures!
This women is fishing! She walks trough the water dragging a net behind her. There are many fish, but seems like she would scare them away as she walks. Maybe she is chumming? Who knows!
