Tukavesi, Labasa, roofing house

View from Summit coming into Tukavesi

Trapesing through the jungle to find members homes

Dan and Elder Rogers

Crossing creek Elder Keck fell in! Actually just stepped in, but fell in sounds better! Ha!

We found the wife but the husband had just left.

Stickers from weeds all over my dress! I had plenty of time to get them all out on the long ride home!

I have a new hair dresser!! Dan did a great job!

Sisters from Suva came over to do exchanges with Sister Schade and Chand. Three of the 4 are Tongan or half Tongan!

Pizza in Labasa

These two boys were hopping down the road in unison  in Labasa!

Lots of rain! Several frogs outside our Air BB in Labasa

Food after Branch conference in Labasa

Interesting bird on church fence

This was from the rain. Off the side of the road.

Moments after we passed the water falling there was a land slide that covered our side of the road. Luckily we were able to get around it. This picture was taken after we got around. The water was off at our flat overnight because of landslides and flooding. The school children didn’t have school on Monday for the same reason. The rivers were overflowing with brown water!

Repairing widows roof. Rain stopped last night and we were able to work all day with no rain.

This is the sister whose roof was fixed. She is super sweet!

Dan fixing the sisters kitchen sink.

This is her kitchen. She is cooking something for the men to eat. She has to build a fire in the little space and then puts her pot in the fire. One of the other sisters that was there wants to get her a gas cooktop. She wants to raise some money to make it happen. May be a great go fund me project!

All above pictures were in her yard and village.

This is a machine that pounds Kava. People bring the dried plants to this man’s house and have it pounded, then package and ship it around the world. This is a big business in Fiji! We went there to get a jackhammer that Brother Rinema used to punch a hole in the cement for a drain at Widows home.
