Zone conference, Dan’s Birthday, Nabua branch conference
Zone conference meal at Copra Shed~Captains Table. This was a new experience for most of these Elders and sisters as many just transferred to THE NORTH. Good food, good company!
Elder Keck with Elder Uluave this week, and Dan with Siatome Uluave in 2022. Dan knows Siatome from his days at Ricks college. He was on the Football team and spent time at the Keck’s home in Rexburg. Diane would cook Samoan chop suey for all the Polynesians . We were able to see Siatome when we went to Oahu the summer of 2022. Both meetings were small miracles.

Our meal after the Nabua Branch conference. President’s sister in law came from Labasa to help him fix this huge meal.
This cake like treat was cooked in Dalo leaves in an earth oven. Made from flour, coconut and I’m not sure what else? It was very tasty. I was told that these were easy to make and people lived off them when they had the cyclone years ago. They reminded me of a sweet Mexican tamale.
This is presidents son and daughter in law. She is a Colette from IF. I think Kathy? DJ’s sister. Small world!!
