Nakawawa, Baptism, Nawi Island, Urata

We are on the road again! This is the last place that we have missionaries we will visit. Nakawakawa. It is a long way from us. There is a shorter route to get there, but we couldn’t take the route cause the bridge washed out in the last rain storm!

A couple farmers mode of transportation

This is one of the barges like we took to Taviuni.

Scenery’s beautiful

This was a village you drive through. The big blue building is a beautiful church. Across the road is the ocean.Depicted in the following photo. Would be a beautiful place to live!

They had a lot of rain also.

More views on the way to Nakawakawa

These guys were riding in the back of their truck and one of their hard hats fell off into the road. Brother Keck stopped to pick it up and gave it to them.

Looks like someone might live in this tent!

Finally made it to the church turn off

Missionaries flat

Church building,

We finally made it to Nakawakawa.

Me in front of church

Missionaries flat. It is very big and nice for a flat!

The view from the missionaries flat! It is on top of a hill and you can see for miles in all directions. Beautiful!!

This is the Branch president and his wife! They are awesome.

Elders with Presidents daughter. She loves Volleyball!!

We finally went to eat at Urata Cafe. It is owned by the village at the base of the hill. This is also the village that we fixed the widows roof in. The views are the best!

Urata Village

This is Savusavu across the bay.

Pot pie meal with a Chocolate shake. The shake is chocolate milk! I had a cheese toasty. (Aka toasted Cheese sandwich)

We like this car wash. It is ran by an Indian couple. They do a good job and are very kind.

Across the street from car wash was one of many busses. They were cooking something in the pot that is sitting on the barrel.

Police officer along the side of the road. This is not one that stopped Dan.

One of the highlights of our week. Rugby game!! Dan has been dying to go! It was alot of fun!

The red team is from Suva. They had many specimen players!! The blue team is from Savusavu and were not as athletic! RA-Suva team kind of romped the team from here.

After game!

Baptism on Sunday morning! Dan got to baptize and confirm her! Awesome!

Another day at the beach with the sisters. We saw many crabs, a big blue star fish and we saw a couple more eels. They were too fast and I couldn’t get a picture of them.

Boat ride to Nawi Island. Sister Schade has wanted to go over since she got here to Savusavu! Today was the day. You have to take a boat over. We ate at the restaurant there. The resort is fairly new. They are still working on it. It is mainly for yachts to park at.

View of Savusavu Main Street from the island.

Kids playing in the water by the boat dock.
